Getting There

By air: Kos Island International Airport “Hippocrates” (KGS) is connected with Athens, Thessaloniki, and many European cities.

From Athens: Direct flights take approximately 55 minutes.

From Thessaloniki: Direct flights take approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Alternative route: Fly to Rhodes (RHO) and continue to Kos by ferry (approximately 2–3 hours).

Climate & What to Pack

October in Kos is typically warm and mild, with temperatures ranging between 20–24°C and occasional light rainfall.

Recommended: Light layers, comfortable walking shoes for field visits, and a light jacket for the evenings.

Note: Travel insurance is strongly recommended and is not included in the programme fee.
